The final day of competition at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) saw 10 new AEC Champions take their victory lap around the arena.

You could hear a pin drop in the International Ring at The Colorado Horse Park as California’s Tamra Smith rode around the track in the final show jumping phase of the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds Adequan® USEA Gold Cup Final aboard Alexandra Ahearn, Ellen Ahearn, and Eric Markell’s, Mai Baum (Loredano x Ramira).

The third day of competition of the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena® Feeds at The Colorado Horse Park, saw the first 2018 champions crowned in both the Training and Preliminary divisions.

Other than a mid-afternoon one-hour delay for a thunderstorm that looked to be headed straight for The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado, Novice and Beginner Novice cross-country at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds went off without a hitch.

In the Adequan® USEA Gold Cup Advanced Final, Tamra Smith of California, maintained her impressive lead riding Alexandra Ahearn, Ellen Ahearn, and Eric Markell’s 2006 German Sport Horse gelding Mai Baum (Loredano x Ramira) despite adding 1.6 time penalties on cross-country. The pair now sit on a 28.0.

After competition in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at the The Colorado Horse Park was cut short yesterday due to severe storms that swept through the area, the organizers did some creative shuffling to rearrange the schedule and accommodate the divisions that weren't able to complete yesterday.

A full day of cross-country was scheduled for Training, Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advanced at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado for the second day of competition in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds, but the weather had other ideas and lightning and thunder cut the day short. Only Training and three of the four Preliminary divisions had their chance to leave the start box on Tremaine Cooper’s cross-country course.

Just four of the eight Novice and Beginner Novice divisions scheduled to perform their dressage tests today in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado were completed before a lightning storm swept through the area, prompting the suspension of competition at 2:00 p.m. for the remainder of the day.

The 2018 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series featured 11 qualifying events over the past 12 months and culminates this weekend with the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Final at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado.
