On Saturday, April 25, the USEA announced the extension of the suspension of recognition for competitions under its direct jurisdiction held in the U.S. at the Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training levels until May 31, 2020 to coincide with the announcement by US Equestrian that all USEF owned events, selection trials, training camps, clinics, and activities will be suspended until May 31, 2020. USEF has also strongly recommended that competition organizers suspend all USEF licensed competitions across the country and that equestrians do not compete until that time.
On Wednesday, May 6, the USEA announced that USEA educational activities could resume after May 13, 2020. Educational activities scheduled to be held after May 13 that will be eligible for USEA recognition include clinics, camps, and cross-country schooling. All other activities applying for USEA recognition will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis until further notice. All educational activities must follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as federal, state, and local guidelines.
