Course Builders/Designers

Course Builders/Designers

The course designer (CD) is responsible for the layout, measurement, preparation, and demarcation of the route for the cross-country or show jumping portion of horse trials or three-day events.

While the CD is responsible for the design and construction of all obstacles used in the course, he/she will often be assisted by a course builder to construct the fences.

Without educated CDs and builders, the cross-country portion, and eventing as we know it, would fail to exist.

Contact Nancy Knight at [email protected] or (703) 669-9997 for more information on becoming a CD or builder and for educational opportunities in your area.
