Hold your horses! Things are about to get very busy here at the Kentucky Horse Park, so you won't want to miss out on the details we are summarizing in today's #AEC2024 Daily.

It is a very special day at the 2024 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds as our six divisions of Beginner Novice competitors and, for the first time in AEC history, our two divisions of Starter level competitors enter the mix. The dressage rings will be busy today, and we can't wait to see how each division plays out.

In addition, our six Novice division competitors are getting their chance to gallop across the bluegrass today while those entered in our four Training level divisions will be going for gold in show jumping in the Rolex Arena. Later tonight, things really get exciting with the culmination of our $60,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Final.

It's been so exciting watching our Training divisions play out across the past couple of days and today's show jumping finale will no doubt be just as nail biting!

  • In the ARMA USEA Training Amateur Championship, Marina Cassou and Cooley Monsoon held onto their lead from dressage, but less than a point separates them and the second place pair.
  • One half of a point separates the first and second place pairs in the ARMA Training Horse Championship. Boyd Martin has already had one win at the AEC... will he have another, this time on Schmick?
  • Tessa Geven is hoping to add a championship title to her list of accomplishments aboard Ameristan in the ARMA Training Junior division.
  • Abby Blackburn and Ballysimon Cavalier have only .1 penalties to play with if they want to keep their lead today in the ARMA Training Rider division.

And we will also crown a new Adams Horse Supply Adult Team Championship (ATC) champion team today after the completion of the USEA Training Rider division. Which team will rise to the top?

  • Keep Calm & Carry On have just .9 penalties in hand over second-placed High Speed Hive.

Tonight is a night you do not want to make dinner plans because starting at 6:45 p.m. our Advanced Final comes to a head and a new horse and rider pair will etch their name in the USEA history books.

Boyd Martin and his longtime partner Tsetserleg TSF will be looking to take home the trophy, but they only have 2.8 penalties in hand over Will Coleman and Diabolo.
