Fence-By-Fence: Walk the Maryland 5 Star Cross-Country Course + Special Insights From Ian Stark
On Saturday morning 45 horses will leave the start box at the 2021 Maryland 5 Star to tackle Ian Stark's first-ever five-star cross-country course. With 28 fences and 43 jumping efforts at 570 mpm, the horses and riders will need to be fit as they look to make the optimum time of 11 minutes.

Adult amateur Arden Wildasin’s 39-page long competition report with the USEA began in 2005 when she completed her first Beginner Novice with Mr. Fox. If you would have asked her then if she ever imagined she would be prepping for what she hopes to be her first five-star outing 20 years later, she wouldn’t have believed it was real.
