By USEA

The second photo gallery from last weekend's Morven Park Horse Trials in Leesburg, Virginia. Phillip Dutton and Nina Gardner's Loose 'N Cool led the victory gallop, followed by Jan Byyny and Syd Kent, and Jennie Brannigan and Cooper competing in their first Advanced horse trial. See the complete results on the Morven Park website. Photos by Emily Daily and Erica Larson.

Jane Sleeper & UN, a 13-year-old ISH mare by Cavalier Royale
Dropping neatly into the water - not bad for a 58 year-old rider!
"Good girl, UN!"
Jennie Brannigan and Cooper had a fantastic first outing at Advanced - finishing 3rd!
This pair have been on fire this year, winning nearly every event they've entered including the NAJYRC CCI2* Championships.
Cooper's a 7yo Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Jennie.
Jesslyn Woodall & Tucker V

Olympian Kim Severson partnered with Tipperary Liadhnan, who is owned by The Friends of Kim Severson Syndicate.
This 18.0 hand ISH gelding (Fast Silver--Gypsy Star) galloped boldly across the course.
They briefly held onto their lead after dressage, but unfortunately dropped three rails to leave them in 7th place.
The Leslie/Lesley duo - always a cheerful smile for their fans!
Leslie competed Peter Green's Dutch Warmblood gelding Evening Shade.
Evening Shade recently placed 4th with Leslie at Richland Park CIC3* in August.
Leslie and Evening Shade were tied with Kim and Tipperary Liadhnan after dressage, but time penalties dropped them to fifth overall.
Lynn Symansky and her Thoroughbred gelding No It Tissant.
This pair competed at Rolex Kentucky CCI4* this year, jumping a double-clear XC round.
Megan Correia-Bittner and Anyway had an unfortunate fall in the second water combination, but both horse and water walked away unscathed.
Melissa Roddy Wright and her 15yo Thoroughbred gelding Never Summer.
This pair recently placed 6th in Advanced at Millbrook Horse Trials.
What a great face!
Mikki Kuchta and Oz

This experienced pair placed 7th in the CIC3* at Plantation Field last month.

Galloping up the hill towards home!

The pair recently placed fourth in Advanced at Richland Park last month.
Phillip Dutton competed Debbie Adams' Kheops du Quesnay - a 10yo Selle Francais gelding.

Now On Course: Patience Pays Off for Nazila Hejazi & Her 20-Year-Old Missouri Fox Trotter

Nazila Hejazi and her 20-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter mare, Tessa, may have made for an unconventional pair at the USEA Area VI Championships, held in October at Galway Downs (Temecula, California) but they didn’t let that hold them back. It’s uncommon to see a horse in their twenties still competing in eventing, and even more rare for a gaited horse to compete in a jumping sport.
