The New “Hard Keeper”

Traditionally, horses have been divided into two categories in regards to how much they need to eat in order to maintain their weight and body condition: “hard keepers” and “easy keepers”. Sensibly, “easy keepers” do not require much in the way of feed to maintain good weight and condition, while “hard keepers” require more careful feeding and monitoring.
