The IDHSNA USEA Future Event Horse program can become the natural marketing mechanism for breeders of event horses. I believe it can serve to advertise both the animals and breeders. It can also help to educate the public about the advantages of buying a younger animal directly from the breeder.
Despite the fact that Nina and I were just spectators today, and most of the show jumping occurred in gale-like weather (heavy rain and wind for much of the day with the temperature no higher than 50F), we enjoyed our final day in Germany and at Luhmuhlen. Will Faudree had a lovely clear ride on Andromaque, or Missy as she is fondly called by her connections.
Well, we have had better days! Jennie and Ping had an uncharacteristic elimination after three run outs. Ping seemed to me to be jumping very big which made it hard to maneuver him over tight corners and through very narrow 2nd and 3rd combination fences. Tiana also had trouble with Ringwood Magister and retired late on course after a 3rd combination fence run out.
Greetings from the US contingent in Germany. As I hope that you have heard by now, Will Faudree on Andromaque and Tiana Coudray with Ringwood Magister had good Dressage rides yesterday in the CIC***.
This has been a very difficult week for us in West Grove. The main tragedy has been the horrible fire at True Prospect Farm which has affected many in our community and beyond. To add to all that, Phillip and I are saying goodbye to my wonderful “Doc”
