The Fox River Valley Pony Club Horse Trials are held once a year in late June at the Barrington Hills Riding Center in Barrington Hills, Illinois (Area IV) and offer Beginner Novice through Intermediate/Preliminary levels. This event serves as a fundraising event for the Fox River Valley Pony Club.
Shortly after the 2012 North American Junior/Young Rider Championships qualifying requirements were posted, an appeal was generated by Area IV Young Rider representative and coaches, as well as by Fox River Valley Pony Club Horse Trials organizers, to have the qualifying period for the NAJYRC extended to include the FRVPCHT CCI* as a qualifying event for the CH-J1* entry process.
The challenge of providing the best possible galloping tracks for all levels is a continuous, comprehensive and long term project for the FRVPCHT organizers. Amid a great deal of doubt and misinformation surrounding the historically hard tracks, the FRVPCHT Advisory board is committed to achieving their stated goal: To provide horses and riders with the best cross country experience possible. To that end, a step by step program has evolved over the past three years.
Save the Date, June 24-26, 2011: In an effort to provide Midwest riders with qualifying competition options within the Midwest region, the Fox River Valley Pony Club Horse Trials Advisory Board has applied for and received USEA approval for a new CIC One Star division, beginning in 2011. This development is in keeping with the FRVPCHT mission of providing the best possible competitive experience for horses, riders and trainers.
If you attended the '08 FRVPC HT, you were the beneficiary of many big changes, including new course design, the addition of an IP and BN division, and the return of the ever popular competitors’ party. For 2009, your organizing committee has listened to you, the competitors, and is on track to bring you even more exciting changes.
