CEO Rob Burk comes on this episode of the USEA Podcast first to discuss the changes to the FEI star system, which will change from a four-star system to a five-star system. There are several reasons behind this change, including risk management, inclusion in the Olympics, and making it possible for more countries to participate.

The winners of the CH-J* and CICOY2* at the 2017 North American Junior/Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana, Tosca Holmes-Smith and William Zuschlag, come on the show to talk about their experience in the young rider program, what it was like to compete at NAJYRC, and what advice they would give to other young riders.

This year, the 2017 FEI North American Junior and Young Adult Championships will take place at The Event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Mont. This week, listen in as Sarah Broussard, organizer of The Event at Rebecca Farm, and National Young Rider Coordinator Diane Snow talk about all the exciting changes taking place to bring these two events together and what both the young riders at NAJYRC and competitors at The Event at Rebecca Farm have to look forward to!
