From Local Challenges to a National Stage: The Road to the 2026 Adams Horse Supply Adult Team Championships

Are you an Adult Rider looking to set new competition goals for the 2026 season? Interested in experiencing the excitement of team competition while connecting with fellow riders who share similar life experiences? Consider competing in a USEA Adult Team Challenge this year!
Adult Team Challenges offer riders the opportunity to build camaraderie, represent their Area, and gain valuable competition experience alongside teammates. These events serve as steppingstones toward the ultimate team event of the season—the Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC), held in conjunction with the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds (AEC).
For many years, Adult Team Challenges were offered in three regional formats—Eastern, Central, and Western. In 2014, USEA members voted to restructure the program, allowing each Area to host its own Adult Team Challenges. This change expanded access to team competitions nationwide, giving Adult Riders more opportunities to participate locally while preparing for the ATC. This year there are 20 challenges happening across eight USEA Areas, with the potential of more to come!
The Adams Horse Supply Adult Team Championships will return to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, alongside the USEA American Eventing Championships on Aug. 25-30. This year, Starter, Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and Modified divisions will be offered at the ATC Championships. The ATC is a great opportunity to meet new members in your Area and form relationships with likeminded competitors!
For a full list of qualifications and procedures for the ATC, click here. Adult Riders will be expected to submit a Letter of Intent to compete in the Adams Horse Supply Adult Team Championships at the AEC, and more information on this process will be released in the coming weeks.
View the list of Adult Team Challenges below to see what is being offered in your area this year. Keep in mind that the calendar is a tentative list of host venues that is subject to change. New challenges may be added regularly, so members are encouraged to reach out to their favorite local events to invite them to apply to host a team challenge. Please continue to check here for any updates throughout the year.
