Waredaca Farm in Laytonsville, Maryland (Area II) hosts three horse trials each year: one in May, one in August, and one in October. In May and August, Waredaca offers Beginner Novice through Intermediate horse trials and Future Event Horse (FEH) and Young Event Horse (YEH) classes. In October they host Beginner Novice through Preliminary horse trials and USEA Classic Series Novice, Training, and Preliminary Three-Day Events.

Waredaca first began offering a Classic Series Three-Day competition in 2004 and is one of the longest running Classic Series Three-Day Events on the calendar. The Hylofit USEA Classic Series Three-Day allows horses and riders to experience the thrill of roads and tracks, steeplechase, and cross-country like the endurance days of old.
Over the past 40 years, Waredaca has expanded its USEA events from one a year with two levels to three events annually offering Beginner Novice through Intermediate levels as well as a Classic Three-day Event at the Novice through Preliminary levels.
With dark skies and dropping temperatures on October 25-28, the weekend of the Hylofit USEA Classic Three-Day Event at Waredaca brought a mix of weather elements for competitors. Amidst the cold spitting rain in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Alice Roosevelt, Caitlin O’Roark, and Cami Pease didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits as they all took home bright blue ribbons.

Waredaca Horse Trials in Laytonsville, Maryland hosted the only 2017 USEA Classic Series events in Area II at their fall event, October 19-22, 2017. In addition to a full horse trials for Beginner Novice through Preliminary levels, Waredaca also offered Training and Novice Three-Day divisions.
For many competitors, finishing a traditional long format event is major bucket list item. Waredaca Farm and the Hagyard Midsouth Three-Day Event make that dream possible by offering Novice, Training and Preliminary USEA Classic Series divisions between their two competitions.
Waredaca’s Classic Three-Day Event and Fall Horse Trials, held October 20th-23rd, 2016, is excited to announce the creation of ‘3-2-1 GO! End Breast Cancer’ in an effort to raise funds that will directly support research efforts at the Johns Hopkins Breast Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
