U.S. Eventing Association To Launch Redesigned Website

The United States Eventing Association will be launching a dramatically redesigned website on February 9 that will enhance the online experience of USEA members and eventing enthusiasts alike. The redesigned site – the result of over a year of organization, design, testing, and feedback – utilizes a design that gives every member of the eventing community whether a competitor, trainer, volunteer, official, or supporter an instinctual place to find the materials they need.
“The USEA has grown significantly in the past several years with new programs, media coverage, and services for our members,” said Jo Whitehouse, USEA CEO. “And it was evident that we were in need of a new online presence to support the breadth of information that we wish to share with our members. I hope that the newly designed USEventing.com delivers a pleasant, easy to navigate experience that provides all of the materials a USEA member could need with just a swift click of the mouse.”
The USEA website is an extremely active hub on the web with 1.7 million visits in 2011, 365,000 unique visitors, and over five and half million page views. In 2005 the USEA website had about 2,000 pages, articles and documents. By 2007 the site had grown to about 10,000 pieces of information and now we have over 64,000 indexed pages, articles, and documents. With the staggering amount of information as well as the traffic USEventing.com receives the USEA needed to ensure that the site is as effective and user-friendly as possible.
The redesign offers several new features on the site. Among the new items is a monthly calendar which integrates both the recognized USEA horse trials with educational activities into one calendar that is both searchable and downloadable. Another highlight is a Directory page which will be ever growing with a plethora of USEA contacts and services for eventers. The previous Eventing USA blog has also been incorporated into the News section of the site, however, readers can still sort out blog posts under the Editorials section. Readers will also be able to comment on articles, like them on Facebook, and share them on Twitter and Google+.
USEventing.com will continue to evolve over the coming months as we strive to create more seamless user experience for USEA members. Items still to be released include a media section that will highlight the Endowment Trust’s Eventing USA archive, both video and photo galleries, a members only login area, a more extensive business directory, and integration with the Online Services site.
