Back by popular demand…the live blogging The media masterminds at Eventing Nation and The Chronicle of the Horse are partnering with the USEA to provide eventing enthusiasts once again with a live blog, direct from the Horse Park, for all four days of action. We’ll bring you up-to-the-second re-caps of all the ups and downs (hopefully more ups than downs) and latest news and excitement. We’re also hoping to have several riders join us for color commentary as well. The live blog will be available on the homepages of the USEA, Eventing Nation, and The Chronicle. We’re planning to start our coverage at 10:00AM on Thursday for Day 1 of dressage. Full event schedule. Stay tuned for further details!
A cross-country course preview is planned for Wednesday evening after the first horse inspection. I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but let’s just say the eventing community will get a “rider’s eye” view of Derek di Grazia’s course….both before AND after Saturday.
Speaking of Wednesday, keep your eyes peeled to the USEA website for a massive announcement from the USEA Endowment Trust after the Rider’s Briefing. This is still top-secret news, but something you won’t want to miss, especially if you’re a young professional.
We’re fortunate enough to have several talented photographers on-site who’ll be sharing their amazing images each day. Of course, we’ll also provide you with daily news coverage on the website, and later in the Rolex issue of the USEA magazine as well.
Even though we’re heartbroken that Frankie Thieriot had to withdraw her long-time partner Fric Frac Berence due to an injury, we’re thrilled she’ll still be making the trip out from California to be our on-site news reporter. We're planning daily re-caps and interviews with the top riders, as well as some great stories from rookie and international riders as well. Check out some of the Rolex videos from last year.
