Future Event Horses Take The Stage At The Maryland Horse Trials At Loch Moy

By USEA | July 16, 2011

The IDHSNA/USEA Future Event Horse Class at the Maryland Horse Trials II in Adamstown, MD drew nearly 30 yearlings, two- and three-year-olds, but it was a yearling filly who took top honors. Valerie Fox’s homebred Hanoverian, Sentimental Baby (Sinatra Song x MS Susanna) was named the overall champion despite the fact that is was the filly and her owner/breeder’s first ever FEH competition. Sentimental Baby was handled by Fox Lair Farm’s barn manager, Brandi Smith. The pair plan on heading to next month’s IDHSNA/USEA FEH competition at the Waredaca Horse Trials before going on to compete at the East Coast FEH Championships at Morven Park in October.
