Area V Rules The Team Competition, But Area VII Clinches The Individuals

By USEA | July 29, 2011

The lone Area VII Junior, Florence Miller made her long trek from Montana count as she rode into the lead aboard her eight-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, Tuscan Sun. The pair scored the only sub-50 of the competition to take the individual lead in the CH-J* at the FEI/Adequan North American Junior & Young Rider Championships. Sitting in second is Alyssa Phillips and Sundance Bay, members of the leading Area V team. The individual third place rider, Sable Giesler hails from Ontario and rode her own Evil Munchkin to a 52.3. Team Ontario is trailing behind Area V by a mere 1.7 points while the combined team of Area I, III, and VII are in third.
