US Equestrian is pleased to announce the dates and location for the 2022 USEF Young Rider Eventing Championship. This championship will take place at the Tryon International Three-Day Event November 10-13 in Mill Spring, N.C.
The USEF Youth Team Challenge Task Force recently evaluated the 2021 Youth Team Challenge program. Feedback was taken into consideration from Area Coordinators and athletes. Due to the limited participation at the short-format legs, the Task Force recommended altering the Program to one Championship, the USEF Young Rider Eventing Championship. The program proposal received approval from the Eventing Sport Committee, International Disciplines Committee, and the USEF Board of Directors.
The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce the increase in age for eligibility in the USEA Young Rider program to USEA members aged 25 and under, effective immediately.
US Equestrian is pleased to announce the development of a new youth team competition format for eventing athletes competing at the CCI* through CCI3* levels, set to be introduced during the 2021 competition season. Eventing athletes between the FEI ages of 14 and 25 are invited to apply for the USEF Eventing Youth Team Challenge for the upcoming competition season, with competition opportunities spanning from early spring through late fall.
Following the cancellation of key qualifying competitions due to COVID-19, the US Equestrian Board of Directors has unanimously approved a resolution to cancel the 2020 Adequan North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for Eventing CCIJ2*-L and CCIOY3*-S, which had been scheduled for July 23-26 at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana.
The US Equestrian Federation is accepting bid applications to host the 2021 and 2022 North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for Eventing. US Equestrian must receive completed bids on or before Friday, March 27, 2020, by 5:00 p.m. EDT for consideration.
US Equestrian is pleased to announce The Event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana will again host the 2020 Adequan North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for the discipline of eventing. Competition is scheduled to run from July 22-26, 2020.
For 30 years recognized eventing has been run in the Flathead Valley and there is no better place to escape the summer heat than July in Kalispell, Montana.
The CCIY3*-S was a small division, but the excitement was still large in the team competition. Area I/II dominated after both dressage and cross-country and had a nice lead heading into today’s show jumping finale, but when team member Megan Loughnane had to withdraw her horse Linford before the second horse inspection this morning, it dropped the team all the way down to bronze medal position. Area IV/VIII were now in the lead with Area III/VII hot on their heels.
It’s hard not to get emotional and be excited for Area VIII who just rose to the occasion to claim team gold in the 2019 Adequan North American Youth Championships (NAYC) in the CCIJ2*-L. Watching their team supporting each other, their coaches and Chef d’Equipe’s shedding tears of joy, and the endless hugs and high-fives all around, one cannot help but to be filled with joy just by being in their presence.
Fifty horses move forward in the Adequan North American Youth Championships (NAYC) after the final horse inspection this morning. Both the CCIJ2*-L and the CCIY3*-S divisions completed Ian Stark’s cross-country courses yesterday, with 52 horses galloping through the finish flags.
