Area III Takes The Early Lead At NAJYRC

The CH-Y** riders had their turn in the dressage arena today at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. Area III’s four member team is in the lead with 162, but the combined team of Area V and IX are only a few points behind with a 166.2. Team Canada rounds out the top three with a 170.7. Area III is also holding the first and third place spots individually. Devon Brown partnered with her mom’s 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse, Dynamic Image, to take the individual lead with a 50.5 while teammate, Sarah Kamensky rode her own Irish Sport Horse, Urlanmore Beauty into third with a 53.6. Team Canada’s Joelle Baskerville and Malibu are sitting in second on a 52.4.
