The USEA Foundation is now accepting applications for the Essex Horse Trials Grant, the Seema Sonnad Junior Rider's Grant, and the Haller Scholarship for Eventing Officials. The deadline for applications for these grants is October 15.

VIDEO: Adult Rider Open Forum

Adult Rider Committee co-chairs Donna Bottner and Dawn Robbins led the Adult Rider Open Forum at the 2018 USEA Annual Meeting & Convention. The 10 Area Adult Rider Coordinators introduce themselves and explain a bit about each Area's program. Then, Daniel Stewart talks about the Equestrian Athlete Camps at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and the benefits of the program. Finally, Bottner and Robbins open the floor for amateur and adult riders in the audience to bring forward questions and concerns for discussion.

Keep Calm And Gallop On Claims First Adult Team Championship of 2019

Seven teams competed in the Preliminary Adult Team Championship at the 2019 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds, and when the dust settled it was Keep Calm And Gallop On who took top honors. The quartet finished on a score of 121.9 – almost eight points ahead of second-placed Let’s Give it a Go! Third place went to Atlantic Storm which finished on a 133.1.

ATC Throwback: Cindy DePorter Plans the Trek South for the Adult Team Championship

Cindy DePorter fit all the pieces together to make it possible to take her horse, Drop the Buck, to the USEA Adult Team Championships in September of 2014. DePorter was Co-Chair of the USEA Adult Riders’ Committee in 2014, and while she played a big role in making the ATC happen for adult riders across the country, she decided to take part in the fun for herself.

Kidwell is King of the CCIY3*-S

The CCIY3*-S was a small division, but the excitement was still large in the team competition. Area I/II dominated after both dressage and cross-country and had a nice lead heading into today’s show jumping finale, but when team member Megan Loughnane had to withdraw her horse Linford before the second horse inspection this morning, it dropped the team all the way down to bronze medal position. Area IV/VIII were now in the lead with Area III/VII hot on their heels.

Big Smiles and Gold Medals: Area VIII Sweeps the CCIJ2*-L

It’s hard not to get emotional and be excited for Area VIII who just rose to the occasion to claim team gold in the 2019 Adequan North American Youth Championships (NAYC) in the CCIJ2*-L. Watching their team supporting each other, their coaches and Chef d’Equipe’s shedding tears of joy, and the endless hugs and high-fives all around, one cannot help but to be filled with joy just by being in their presence.
