It was a full day of show jumping at The Eventing Championships at Galway Downs, and by the end, three individual champions and two teams were crowned in the The U.S. Equestrian Federation Eventing Young Rider Championships presented by USEA.

The USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships wrapped up at the Maryland International with an exciting show jumping finale today. In the end, three mares topped the individual podiums at the one-, two-, and three-star levels, and in the team competition, clear rounds were not easy to come by over Chris Barnard’s courses, making for a nail-biting finish.

The Maryland International + Horse Trials in Adamstown, Maryland, is going to be crawling with talented young riders ages 25 and under for the 2024 USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships (YRC). This year’s Championships has been transitioned from a fall long-format event to a summer short-format event to encourage participation and will offer CCI1*-S, CCI2*-S, and CCI3*-S Championship divisions.
The Event at Rebecca Farm is set to begin in less than one month in Kalispell, Montana. Competitors from around the country are preparing to travel to the event, and thanks to the generosity of the Broussard Family Charitable Foundation and administration of the USEA Foundation, that trip will be made more accessible through the Rebecca Farm Travel Grants.
The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the host location and dates for the 2024 and 2025 USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships (CCI1*, CCI2*-S, CCI3*-S). The Maryland International and Horse Trials will host the Championships in Adamstown, Maryland, on July 5-7, 2024, and July 6-8, 2025.

Did you know that in 2023 there were 2,535 members of the USEA Adult Rider Program? The USEA Adult Rider Program is for all adults, amateur or professional, 22 years and older. The program’s goal is to increase adult rider participation in eventing as both riders and volunteers. It aims to do so by including adults across all skill and experience levels in a supportive program that promotes education, volunteerism, friendly competition, recognition, and just plain fun.
