VIDEO: Cross-Country with Doug Payne and Vandiver at the Tryon International CCI4*-L

By USEA

This year, the USEA Annual Meeting & Convention has gone virtual! All week from Tuesday, December 8 through Friday, December 11, we will be bringing you live interactive webinars and on demand educational content that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. The Virtual Convention will culminate with the USEA Annual Meeting & Keynote Address on Saturday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Join Doug Payne as he rides the Tryon International CCI4*-L with Vandiver (Windfall II x Visions of Grandeur) a 16-year-old Trakehner gelding owned and bred by Debi Crowley. Vandiver (also known as "Quinn") only added 0.4 cross-country time penalties to his dressage score to finish fourth with a final score of 29.20. Payne piloted three different horses around the Tryon International CCI4*-L cross-country track (Quantum Leap, Starr Witness, and Vandiver) and Vandiver was Payne’s third horse to go around the course. Listen in on his overall thoughts of the course, how he felt riding Vandiver, the differences in each horse, and his fitness and preparation leading up to the CCI4*-L.

Special thanks to US Equestrian/USEF Network for the live feed footage.
