USEA Partners with Otterbein University for Future and Young Event Horse Seminar

By USEA | June 2, 2014

The USEA is excited to announce the upcoming Future Event Horse (FEH) and Young Event Horse (YEH) Educational Seminar at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio taking place August 15-17, 2014.

The seminar will include lectures and live demonstrations by experienced breeders and judges Susan Graham-White, Marilyn Payne, Robin Walker, and Faith Fessenden. The purpose is to educate judges, competitors, and interested parties about the FEH and YEH programs, and is appropriate for breeders, competitors/exhibitors, judges, or anyone who is passionate about young horses and their development.

Open to both USEA members and non-members, this educational seminar is important for anyone interested in the advance of domestic breeding of event horses and their future in the sport. This is also a great opportunity for YEH/FEH competitors to learn what the judges look for. There is no cost for USEA members and the fee for non-members is $50.00 for the whole weekend. Admission is also free for Otterbein University students.

There will be a pizza party on Friday evening from 6-8pm with introductions to both programs including program guidelines for event organizers and judges and time for questions. On Saturday and Sunday, morning lectures and presentations will run from about 8:30-11:00am in an Otterbein University classroom; then the group will have lunch and head outside for live horse demonstrations until 4pm.
