Today Is The Last Day For Nutrena/USEA AEC Early Bird Discount!

Today, August 2, is the last day for the early bird discount for the 2011 Nutrena/USEA American Eventing Championships Presented By Bit of Britain.

Remember that competitors entering before August 3rd will receive a $100 early-bird discount. Plus, if you scratch your entry before closing date, you’ll get your entire entry and stabling fee returned to you (minus a $25 office fee). If you scratch your entry after closing date, you’ll get your entry fee back minus $100, but still have to pay stabling and $25 office fee. Either way you look at it, Chattahoocehee Hills is keeping the competitors in mind, and working to make it affordable for anyone who is qualified to attend this prestigious event.

How do I enter?

Entry information is available on the AEC Omnibus page. Enter online using Xentry or mail the entry form to the secretary at Rick Dunkerton, Secretaryc/o AMS P.O. Box 1647 Laurel, MS 39441-1647.

Where is this year’s AEC?

For the second year, the AEC will be held at Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn,Georgia. The farm is 15 miles from Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport and a short drive to the South Fulton Parkway. Find out more at the Chatt Hills website.

Am I qualified?

Check out the list of Qualified Riders and list of Qualified Horses. Qualification Criteria is available here or call the USEA office at 703-779-0440 extension 3005. Both horse AND rider must be qualified for the AEC in order to compete and must be eligible for the level of competition at which you qualify.

What can I win?

Nearly $70,000 in prize money will be distributed among the top six in each of the 14 divisions with $20,000 earmarked for the Merial Advanced Class.
