The United States will be represented by six talented combinations at The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, August 30-September 2. A total of 85 riders from 10 nations are slated to contest one of the toughest CCI4*s in the world. Three of the U.S. entries have benefitted from Land Rover Competition and Training Grants, spending the summer training and competing in England. Will Faudree, Sinead Halpin, and Allison Springer were all named to USEF Short List for the U.S. Eventing Team in June and have spent the last three months honing their skills in England.

Faudree (Hoffman, NC) heads to Burghley with Jennifer Mosing's talented 11-year-old Irish Thoroughbred mare Andromaque. The pair collected second-place honors in the CIC3* at the Volvo Bromont Three-Day Event before travelling to England. They then went head-to-head with many of the best in Europe at the Barbury Castle International CIC3* cruising to another top ten finish.

Halpin (Oldwick, NJ) and Carraig, LLC's 12-year-old Selle Francais Manoir de Carneville make a return trip to The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials after completing Captain Mark Phillips' demanding track in 2011 and earning a top 15 result. In August, the pair put their summer of English training to the test at the Hartpury International CCI3* notching an eighth place finish.

The third Land Rover grant recipient, Springer (Upperville, VA) will be eyeing another top CCI4* result in 2012 with Arthur after placing second at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Bridgestone in April. Carole and William Springer's 13-year-old Irish Thoroughbred gelding is renowned for his proficiency in the first phase and will look to head to the cross country amongst the leaders.

The U.S. will also be represented by three Burghley first timers. Erin Sylvester and Kate Hicks have travelled together from the Unionville, PA area and will be looking to reproduce the clear cross country rounds from the Rolex CCI4*. Sylvester will ride her own No Boundaries and Hicks again pilots her own Belmont.

Rounding-out the U.S. entries is Kristi Nunnick and her talented mare R-Star who have travelled from the California-base to train with the legendary Bruce Davidson in 2012.
