US Equestrian has announced the nomination of the following athlete-and-horse combinations to the U.S. Eventing Team, as well as the Reserves for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Three direct reserve horses have also been named. A direct reserve horse would be an automatic replacement should the original horse on which an athlete was named need to be substituted.
On June 1, 2019, US Equestrian’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention (MAAP) Policies went into effect. US Equestrian has announced that the Maryland International CCI3*-S will serve as the final preparation event for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games U.S. Eventing Team, in accordance with the U.S. Eventing Team selection procedures. The competition is part of the Maryland International + Horse Trials taking place July 5-7 at The Highlands at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Md.

Tasked with protecting the welfare of equine athletes and ensuring the balance of competition, the US Equestrian Federation (USEF) Equine Drugs and Medications Program consistently monitors new products and product claims. From time to time, new products appear on the equine supplement market claiming to enhance a horse’s performance.
The US Equestrian Federation (US Equestrian) is accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for Dressage and Jumping, in addition to a Team Championship held at the FEI levels for Juniors and Young Riders for Eventing. US Equestrian must receive EOIs on or before Friday, May 31, 2019, by 5:00 p.m. EDT for consideration.
Raeford, N.C. - The first ever USEF/USET Foundation North American Futures Team Challenge kicks off this week at Cloud 11~Gavilan North LLC Carolina International CCI and Horse Trial in Raeford, N.C. Eight U.S. athletes and two reserve combinations will be named to two teams to gain experience competing in a team environment.
During the first USEF eventing competition held after the implementation of the rule, a significant number of the bits measured (commonly used bits) were out of compliance with this rule. Subsequently, we’ve been advised that the FEI will discuss the rule further and it is possible they will make amendments.
The teams have been announced for the 2019 USEF/USET Foundation Futures Team Challenge at the Carolina International CCI in Raeford, N.C. More than 60 applications were received for the team opportunities and after reviewing the applications the following athlete and horse combinations were selected for the two teams. The athletes will participate in a training session in the two days prior to the start of Carolina International.
