The 2025 USEA Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Eventing Championships were an incredible success, ushering the programs forward as the first standalone championships knock on the door for 2026. The Intercollegiate and IEL Programs were merged for their year-end championships to ensure that the USEA’s junior and young adult members have a goal to continue to pursue their passion for eventing throughout their educational years and beyond, and the support the event has received in the last two years has been astounding.
With all-time high participation for both divisions this week, these programs have proven that they are ready to stand on their own, but none of this success would have been possible without the generous support of many loyal partners. Thanks to these companies, competitors on the top three teams in each championship received thousands of dollars in prizes and in-kind donations.
Bates Saddles, “The Official Saddle of the USEA,” provided their signature competition duffels, grooming totes, saddles pads, and hats. Kerrits, “The Official Competition and Training Apparel of the USEA,” gave the top three teams gift certificates to trade in for breeches and/or tops of their choice, as well as leather tote bags from their Oughton line. PulseVet, “The Official Shock Wave of the USEA,” gifted coupons for their new Assiss LOOP system to members of the top three teams. Finally, “The Official Horse Wear of the USEA,” Schneiders Saddlery, provided custom embroidered show scrim sheets for the champions in each division.
In addition to our corporate partners, several event sponsors provided exciting gifts for our top placing athletes. Horse & Country and WeRideTogether donated branded apparel, like hats, saddle pads, and socks. Sidelines Magazine and Young Rider Magazine each gave one-year subscriptions to their respective publications for the champion and reserve teams. U.S. Equestrian provided commemorative engraved leather halters for each member of the top three teams, and World Equestrian Brands provided halters for the winners as well.
The USEA would also like to thank the organizing team at Stable View for going above and beyond to make this event special for the championship competitors. Co-owners Barry and Cyndy Olliff showed yet again how passionate they are for the event and its competitors, and the USEA thanks them for their hospitality. Additional thanks go to Molly Bull, Emma Young, Dave Shapiro, Kena Black, and the rest of the Stable View team for their hard work towards making this the “Happiest Horse Trials in the World.”

About the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Program
The USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Program was established in 2014 to provide a framework within which eventing teams and individual competitors could flourish at universities and colleges across the country. Many events across the country offer Intercollegiate Team Challenges where collegiate eventers can compete individually or in teams with their fellow students. In Intercollegiate Team Challenges, each rider’s score is multiplied by a coefficient appropriate for their level to account for differences in level difficulty, and then the individual scores are added together to determine the team score. The USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship is a capstone event for the program, which is held annually in the spring. The 2025 USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship will be held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, on May 2-4. Click here to learn more about the Intercollegiate Eventing Program.
The USEA would like to thank Bates Saddles, Horse & Country, Kerrits, PulseVet, Sidelines, U.S. Equestrian, WeRideTogether, World Equestrian Brands and Young Rider for sponsoring the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Program.
About the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL)
In August 2020, the USEA Board of Governors approved the creation of the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) as an official program of the USEA. The mission of IEL is to unite junior riders who are in the 5th—12th grade and provide a supportive community through which students can continue to pursue their riding interests. A group of junior members in the 5th—12th grade who share a common bond, such as the same barn, school, Pony Club, or other connection, can register with the USEA as an IEL Club. The second annual USEA Interscholastic Eventing Championship will be held alongside the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, on May 2-4, 2025. Fear is a word we’ve all experienced and one that can leave the best of us feeling a bit belittled and bewildered. It’s also one of the most misunderstood of all emotions.
