Talented artist, Shai Steiner, of Animals In Primary has signed on as a sponsor of the 2010 USEA American Eventing Championships. The Seattle, Washington artist is well known for her pop-art type paintings of horses and dogs. Steiner uses a limited pallet of colors and works from black and white photos, which she typically captures herself.

“I started eventing at the same time I started painting,” Steiner explained. “Eventers are my best clients and they are such a giving group of people. I decided to sponsor the USEA as a way to give back to them.”

Steiner will be donating a 30”x30” custom painting which will be given to the winner of the Preliminary Amateur Division of the 2010 AEC. The winner will be able to pick the subject of the painting. “I chose the Preliminary Amateur Division to be the recipient of my painting because that is the division I dream of competing in,” Steiner said.

Steiner was featured in the 2009 Issue 3 of Eventing USA. Her work can be seen on her website or at The Event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana.
