From start to finish, William Fox-Pitt kept his cool to take first place aboard Cool Mountain in the 2010 Rolex Kentucky CCI4*. Cool Mountain finished on his dressage score of 42.8 to earn $80,000 and a brand new Rolex watch. Phillip Dutton earned Reserve Champion for the impressive sixth time. Riding Woodburn, Dutton started the competition in eighth with a 47.7, jumped a double clean cross-country round to move up to fourth, and then finished off the weekend with a double clear show jump round to add nothing to his dressage score. Becky Holder and Courageous Comet rounded out the top three on a score of 49.2. Holder added only a single rail to her dressage score throughout the competition.
