Thomson, GA - Now hosting CIC2* and CIC1* divisions sanctioned by Fédération Équestre Internationale(FEI), Pine Top Farm will add cash prize money to its list of awards at the Advanced Horse Trials on February 21-23, 2014.
Competitors will be competing for cash and prizes valuing at over $15,000, thanks to Precision Waste Services, Thomson Dodge Chrysler, White Columns Inn, VTO Saddlery, Point Two, Ariat, Hoofclix and Bits and Breeches.
CIC2* and CIC1* will divide $8,000 cash money between the two divisions.
“Our Advanced Horse Trials runs the largest Advanced entry in the country and the first FEI show of the calendar year. We host nearly all of the top horse and rider combinations you will see competing at Rolex, FEI World Equestrian Games this summer in France and eventually the Olympics. Our cross country course runs similar to Rolex, with undulating hills and excellent natural footing. Our property is open, which allows for the horses to really stretch out and gallop around the course, and our jumps are massive but inviting, ” says Glenn Wilson, organizer for the horse trials with his wife Janet.
The United States Equestrian Federation approached Glenn and Janet Wilson in 2013 and requested they add the CIC2* and CIC1* to the calendar. The addition of FEI divisions to Pine Top’s calendar year further solidifies the position of this event as one of the most prominent events in the nation.
Eventing is on an upswing in Area IX with the addition of Mile High Horse Ranch Horse Trials in Parker, Colorado. The inaugural event will run from July 6-7 this summer. Started and organized by Mile High Horse Ranch owner Vanda Werner, the event will feature Starter through Training levels.
