Thomson, GA - Now hosting CIC2* and CIC1* divisions sanctioned by Fédération Équestre Internationale(FEI), Pine Top Farm will add cash prize money to its list of awards at the Advanced Horse Trials on February 21-23, 2014.
In preparation for predicted winter weather, Pine Top Farm has adjusted its event schedule to accommodate for unusually harsh temperatures which are expected to dip into the lower teens on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Thomson, GA - There is a schedule change for all CIC* and CIC** competitors. In-barn inspections will now begin at 7:30am on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the small show jumping arena near dressage. Competitors must complete in-barn inspections before CIC* and CIC** dressage begins at 12:30pm on Friday, February 21.
The season’s final USEA event, the November 24-25 Pine Top Thanksgiving horse trials, will include the Intermediate level for the first time.
This afternoon at Pine Top Advanced Horse Trials in Thomson, Georgia, Megan Moore’s horse “The Grasshopper”, a 12 year old Thoroughbred gelding, collapsed while jumping fence 17. Megan was not injured. A full necropsy will be performed due to a suspected aneurism.
Pine Top is preparing for two big events in February, and is pleased to report that recent rains have created excellent footing. In addition, fall rains produced good permanent grass coverage on the new earthwork features that were completed in the midst of a very dry summer.
