Only 30 Days Until the Start of the 2013 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, Presented by VTO Saddlery

The countdown has begun! Only one month until the Texas Rose Horse Park will welcome hundreds of horse and rider pairs onto the show grounds to compete at the 2013 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, presented by VTO Saddlery.
The USEA is busy making preparations for this year’s big event, including securing the $90,000 in prize money that will be distributed throughout the levels, from Beginner Novice to Advanced, and the hundreds of prizes from our sponsors. Saddles, saddle pads, therapeutic products, horse feed, helmets and clothing are just some of the loot that is up for the winning! Additionally, we’ve brought in some fabulous vendors including VTO Saddlery, Bit of Britain, Dubarry of Ireland, Charles Owen, and many more. The winner of each division will take home a prestigious trophy and the title of the best in the nation in their respective division.
And of course, what would the AEC be without a party? We’ve got parties galore including a welcome party, a bonfire, a dog show, and a competitors’ party complete with a beer truck on Saturday night.
If you work up an appetite with your shopping and partying, Posados Mexican Cafè, Sorelles Wood-Fired Pizza, and the Texas Rose Horse Park Canteen will be sure to get you refueled. VIP passes are on sale until September 20, allowing your access to the catered VIP tent. There will also be breakfast carts at the barns for the convenience of the competitors and grooms.
What about the actual horse show part?
The course has been entirely re-envisioned, adding a whopping 48 brand new fences to the property since the most recent horse trials held at the Park in June (Texas Rose Horse Park Summer Horse Trials, June 8-9). The fences, constructed under the supervision of prolific course builder Bert Wood, range from Beginner Novice to Advanced, promising an original course – even to riders who may have ridden there just a couple of months ago.
With two weeks left to enter and over 350 Championship entries already, the competition is sure to be fierce and exciting. Three continents and 35 states are represented to date, with riders coming to Texas from as far as Maine and Washington state.
To enter, log in to Online Services and enter through Xentry. Check out the entry status and omnibus listing for more information, or visit the AEC webpage for everything you need to know about getting to, competiting at, or spectating the 2013 AEC!
