Hagyard Midsouth Three Day Event and Team Challenge Is Underway!
Amongst the construction at the Kentucky Horse Park the Hagyard Midsouth Three Day Event and Team Challenge will welcome over 400 riders this weekend. On Thursday, October 15, forty three riders presented their horses at the first horse inspection for the CCI*and CCI* without steeplechase. These horse rider combinations will be competing for the USEF Junior and 19-21 year old Championships, the Amateur Championship, and the Senior CCI* Championship. The Juniors and Young Riders will also be vying for the USEF Eastern Junior/Young Rider Team Championship for the USEA Trophy.
Presenting for the first time this year were thirty four riders participating in the SmartPak Equine/USEA Training Three Day Event. The Hagyard Midsouth Three Day Event and Team Challenge is excited to include this educational opportunity for the riders. This year the event is welcoming Dorothy Crowell as the lead clinician. She will assist the riders from the time they check in to the final horse inspection and show jumping. This will provide continuous availability and guidance throughout the event, allowing participants to ask questions and receive support whenever needed. Special thanks to Dorothy for donating her time to serve in this capacity.
“Team Challenge” is excited to welcome not only the Three Day riders, but also the multitude of teams competing at Beginner Novice through Preliminary. This year teams such as the Fox Tail Farm Cocktail Kickers, the Young and the Rest of Us, the Gentleman Jumpers, and the Antebellum Dream Team will compete together for their share of the prizes. This year those prizes include Ice Horse © Equine Cold Therapy products. The Hagyard Team Challenge is excited to partner with Ice Horse© to provide top quality items to the winners, including the Ice Horse© Continuous Cold Flow Cold Water System and Ice Horse© Cold Therapy wraps.
The Hagyard Midsouth Three Day Event and Team Challenge would like to thank all the sponsors and supporters of the event, including Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, Kentucky Performance Products, Flair Nasal Strips, Intervet, and Whayne Equipment.
