Galway Downs to Host West Coast Young Event Horse Championships This Fall

All the top four- and five-year-old talented event horses in the country will now have an equal opportunity to compete in the Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse Championships, as Galway Downs has graciously opened their doors to host the inaugural West Coast YEH Championship at their fall three-day. The event will be held in Temecula, California prior to the start of the three-day event and horse trials.
The East Coast YEH Championships will be held in conjunction with the Fair Hill International CCI3*/CCI2* on October 15 and 16 in Elkton, Maryland.
The Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse Series is open to four- and five-year-old horses and is considered a "talent search" to scope out some of the promising young equine athletes in the country. To attend the Championships, horses must achieve two scores of 70% or one score of 75% at any of the 17 YEH events across the country.
For more information on the YEH Series, visit the YEH page or email Wendy Weinstein at [email protected] or call 703-669-9996.
