French Hopes Dashed - Nicolas Touzaint Withdraws Galan de Savagere

The French team were in shock last night after the last-minute withdrawal of their top combination, Nicolas Touzaint and his horse Galan de Savagere. The decision came as Touzaint was in the warm-up arena preparing to ride his dressage test. The French had already suffered a major blow last week when Athens Olympic champions, Jean Teulere and Espoir de La Mare, withdrew after the horse aggravated an old tendon injury.
