Fast Facts: 2021 Stable View Oktoberfest

By Meagan DeLisle - USEA Staff

For the sixth year the Oktoberfest CCI and Horse Trials will return to Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina this weekend on September 24-26. Oktoberfest is one of eight CCI4*-S events on the 2021 calendar and will also feature a CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S, and Beginner Novice through Intermediate horse trial divisions.

The Field:

  • There are 30 pairs set to contest this year’s CCI4*-S, which is down 16 from 2020
  • Stable View has run its Oktoberfest horse trials five times and Phillip Dutton has won the top class three of those years (2016 with Z, 2018 with I’m Sew Ready, and 2019 with Z. He has two entries this year including his recent Great Meadow International Winner Fernhill Singapore, a 12-year-old KWPN gelding (Singapore x Riedellia) owned by Ann Jones, Tom Tierney, and David Vos along with Sea of Clouds, the 10-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (Malibu Moon x Winner’s Ticket) owned by the Sea of Clouds Partnership.
