Eventing 18 Advancing Athlete Training Sessions Are Underway

By USEA | December 31, 2013

The Eventing 18 Advancing Athlete Training Sessions are underway in Ocala, FL. The sessions, held at Jacqueline Mars’ Meredyth South Farm, are led by Senior Coach to the U.S. Eventing Team, David O’Connor. The Eventing 18 Program is a part of the effort to spot talented riders at a young age.

USEF’s Managing Director of Eventing, Joanie Morris, is on site and reports that the format is similar to the Eventing 25 Developing Rider Sessions of last year. “They’ve done two days of flatwork in groups, one day of jumping, lectures on stable management with Max Corcoran, theory, course design, dressage. Vet and farrier talks as well as cross country schooling will be over the next two days.” In spite of the spotty rain, the sessions have been very successful with the riders learning all aspects of eventing.

The following Young Riders are in attendance:

Brynn Littlehale
Adrian Jones
David Pawlak
Nicole Doolittle
Jamie Doolittle
Mia Farley
Maddie Temkin
Maddy Mazzola
Caroline Martin
Savannah (Woodge) Fulton
Reagan LaFleur
Patience O'Neal

January 2nd is the final day of the training sessions. To learn more about the Eventing High Performance Training lists, visit https://www.usef.org/_iframes/breedsdisciplines/discipline/alleventing/hpeventing.aspx
