Are you interested in getting a front-row seat at the biggest event of the year? Have dreams of horses in the mountains of Montana been galloping through your head? Sign up to volunteer at the 2022 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds (AEC)! Volunteer positions are open to everyone, including competitors, trainers, owners, friends, and family. The 2022 AEC will take place Aug. 30 - Sept. 4 at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana.

The AEC volunteers will be rewarded for their efforts. Every AEC volunteer will receive free parking, a thank you gift and an exclusive AEC volunteer shirt. In addition, AEC volunteers will have the opportunity to be featured on the USEA website. After the AEC has concluded, the USEA will feature one special AEC volunteer in an article published on www.useventing.com and USEA social media. The volunteer will be selected at random, but the more days you volunteer, the higher your chances are of getting picked to be featured.

Consider making a vacation around your volunteering! Rebecca Farm is located within an hour’s drive of the picturesque Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Volunteers are needed starting as early as Monday, August 29, so come early or extend your stay to enjoy all that the local area has to offer.

Do you only have time to volunteer for a morning or afternoon? AM and PM slots are available, making it easy and flexible for all AEC competitors to volunteer. Check out the AEC competition schedule here.

Volunteers are needed for the following days at Rebecca Farm:

  • Monday, Aug. 29 – Dressage Set-Up
  • Wednesday, Aug. 31 – Dressage
  • Thursday, Sept. 1 – Dressage and Cross-country
  • Friday, Sept. 2 - Dressage, Cross-country, and Show Jumping
  • Saturday, Sept. 3 - Cross-country and Show Jumping
  • Sunday, Sept. 4 - Show Jumping

Volunteers can sign up here.

Since the AEC utilizes the eventingvolunteers.com app, the AEC volunteers on the platform will earn hours counted towards the USEA Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP), which offers national and area awards.

If you have any questions regarding volunteering at the AEC, please email the appropriate AEC Volunteer Coordinator as listed below based on your inquiry:

Volunteer updates and more information will be continuously posted on the AEC Volunteer page.

AEC Entries are open! Entries will close on Tuesday, August 16. Click here for the AEC calendar listing. Click here for the AEC entry status.

The USEA looks forward to seeing everyone in Montana! Stay tuned to the USEA website for more event updates and details.
