Do you want to break into the world of providing eventing commentary at events or brush up on your already-acquired skills? Legendary equestrian commentator John Kyle, who has been "the voice" of the Kentucky Three-Day Event live stream since 2014, has provided commentary for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2016 Rio Olympic Games, 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and is contracted to provide his services during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and so much more.
Kyle is hosting two individual seminars in conjunction with the 2024 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event in Lexington, Kentucky. These one-day seminars will be held on April 23, geared towards rider-analysts, and April 29, aimed at aspiring broadcasters, with two groups running each day from approximately 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
These seminars are designed to equip riders and broadcasters, who already have some experience perhaps in providing streaming‐level commentaries, with the necessary skills and knowledge to step up to national broadcaster level and provide insights that they can utilize in every engagement. The program covers various aspects of sports commentary, including research and preparation, on‐air performance, working with lead commentators and in large productions, and the business of commentary. An example of the syllabus is as follows:

Until this past May, qualifying for the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds let alone actually making plans to compete, seemed like a far-off dream. Going into this show season the AEC was a goal I had set in the back of my mind but maybe only said out loud a few times.
The Millbrook Horse Trials kicked off on July 25 with lower level dressage at Riga Meadow Equestrian Center at Coole Park in Millbrook, New York. There are more than 400 total entries competing at Millbrook, from Beginner Novice to Advanced level. Today the upper level horses cantered down the centerline, while the lower levels headed out on cross-country.
The United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) is thrilled to announce Adams Horse Supply as the new title sponsor of the USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC) at the American Eventing Championships (AEC). The ATC will now be titled “The Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships at the AEC.”
The world’s best eventing horses and riders will be first out of the starting blocks when the equestrian action gets underway at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Versailles, France, tomorrow morning with the opening dressage test.
