Earn Year-End Achievements on the All New USEA Combined Test Leaderboard

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce the establishment of a new national Combined Test (CT) leaderboard, creating an additional pathway for recognition within the existing competition framework. This initiative, created by the USEA Membership Committee and approved by the USEA Board of Governors, is designed to highlight and reward competitors participating in combined tests across the country.
The Combined Test Leaderboard will track results from USEA registered CTs, which include the dressage and show jumping phases only, with standings calculated using the USEA’s established point tabulation system. Year-end national awards will recognize top-performing riders and horses.
"In areas of the country where cross-country is impossible for a large portion of the year, and for those who want to dip their toes into eventing but don't yet have the confidence for riding in the open, combined tests are an excellent option,” said Rob Burk, USEA CEO. “I am excited that the Board has endorsed this idea, and the USEA staff are working to make the leaderboards and support for this national offering possible."
The USEA Combined Test Leaderboard will officially be implemented beginning Dec. 1, 2026.
Recognized Divisions
Official results from USEA-registered Combined Test divisions—whether held in conjunction with recognized horse trials or as standalone USEA-registered events—at all levels will be eligible for leaderboard points. Standalone competitions must register as a USEA activity at a cost of $150 per one-day competition. To ensure inclusion in national standings, all results must be submitted to [email protected].
Horse trials offering Combined Test divisions that are not intended to count toward leaderboard standings will have the option to clearly distinguish those divisions in their omnibus listing.
Participation Requirements
To be eligible for inclusion on the Combined Test Leaderboard:
- Riders must be current USEA members at the Community Level or higher. Community Level memberships are free for anyone wishing to join the USEA.
- Horses must be USEA registered at the Restricted Level or higher. Restricted level registration for horses is free.
- The USEA will collect a $20 starter fee post competition
Year-End Recognition
Leaderboard standings will be tracked throughout the competition year, running from Dec. 1 through Nov. 30. For its inaugural year, leaderboard categories will be limited to Rider and Horse divisions to streamline participation and evaluation.
National awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each division. Future expansion of categories will be considered based on participation levels. Recognition at the Area level, including awards presented at Area banquets, will remain at the discretion of each USEA Area.
