Bortner-Harris and Win the War Fight On Under the Lights at CHC International

It was a late night for all at the CHC International at Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn, Georgia. Show jumping under lights kept everyone's attention until 10 p.m. The CIC3* started around 9:30 and was certainly an influential phase. Jessica Bortner-Harris, of Thurmond, North Carolina, and her 13-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, Win the War, jumped a gorgeous clear round with one time penalty to maintain the lead before today's cross-country.
Jonathan Holling and Proper Timing, who were tied with Bortner-Harris after dressage, had 12 jumping penalties and dropped to third place. Will Faudree and DHI Colour Candy had one of only two double-clear rounds and moved up from fifth to third after show jumping. Zachary Brandt and Cavallino Cocktail started off the division with a fantastic double-clear round, but unfortunately have withdrawn this morning.
Check out the course walk photo gallery of the three-star cross-country and look forward to the exciting conclusion this evening!
