75 Days Until the 2010 Land Rover/USEA American Eventing Championships: Here’s Why You’ll Want To Be There

By USEA | June 25, 2010

The 7th annual Land Rover/USEA American Eventing Championships are only 75 days away—the USEA and Chattahoochee Hills Eventing have an exciting competition planned from September 9-12. With over $100,000 in cash and prizes on the line, two mandatory outings for team riders, a variety of vendors and sponsors for your shopping pleasure, and prime viewing opportunities for spectators, this event is sure to be our best yet.

Competitor Incentives

Chattahoochee Hills is offering a $100 early-bird discount to all competitors who get their entries in during the first two weeks after opening date. Plus, if you scratch your entry before closing date, you’ll get your entire entry and stabling fee returned to you (minus a $25 office fee). If you scratch your entry after closing date, you’ll still get your entry fee back, but still have to pay stabling and $25 office fee. Either way you look at it, Chatt Hills is keeping the competitors in mind, and working to make it affordable for anyone who is qualified to attend this prestigious event.

This brand-new event is rolling out the red carpet for the AEC competitors with state-of-the-art permanent stalls and top-class temporary stalls for your horse’s comfort, numerous easily accessible wash racks, experienced and helpful officials and organizers to answer all your questions, and gorgeous dressage and jumping rings with the best footing available.

But of course, one of the most anticipated parts of the AEC is the cross-country course! Course designer and organizer Ritch Temple and his crew of talented course builders have been working around the clock to make sure that the Chatt Hills courses are championship-level. Competitors’ feedback on the courses has been phenomenal, but the best courses are yet to come. We’ll find out in September what exciting new changes Ritch and his crew have in store!

Cash and Prizes

It wouldn’t be the Land Rover/USEA American Eventing Championships if there wasn’t the promise of highly-anticipated cash and prizes up for grabs! Over $100,000 in prize money and prizes are once again on the line at this year’s competition, thanks to our numerous sponsors.

We’re incredibly pleased to welcome Land Rover as our new title sponsor this year. The name Land Rover is synonymous with quality and prestige, and of course the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in England!

Thanks to Merial, we’re pleased to offer the $25,000 Merial Advanced class, which is sure to draw in dozens of Advanced riders from all across the nation.

Cash prizes will be offered at every level, from Advanced through Beginner Novice, and many of the top placing competitors in each class will take home loads of fantastic prizes such as Charles Owen helmets, 7-dose boxes of Adequan, SmartPak jackets, Flair nasal strips, tack from VTO Saddlery, a custom painting from Animals in Primary, supplements from Omega Alpha, SSG gloves, bottles of APF, cases of SUCCEED digestive conditioning paste, FITS breeches, Fleeceworks saddle pads, Finish Line products, Nutrena feed certificates, and much more!
