Who’s A Star Is Having a Winning Upper Level Event Career with Courtney Cooper after Graduating from Young Event Horse Program

Courtney Cooper and her first homebred, Who’s a Star, recently stirred up the scoreboard at the Jersey Fresh CCI***, held May 7-12, 2013, with a 3rd place finish in the pair’s inaugural 3*.
The 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding also had a winning career in the USEA Young Event Horse program, having competed successfully in both the four-and five-year-old divisions. In 2007, Who’s a Star placed fifth in the Four-Year-Old division on a 68.39 at the Waredaca Horse Trials and Young Event Horse Competition in Gaithersburg, MD. As a five-year-old, son of the prolific Thoroughbred stallion Aberjack scored a 75.68 to win the Five-Year-Old Division at Sporting Days in Aiken, SC on March 12, 2008. See 2008 YEH results.
Who's a Star ultimately placed fourth at the 2008 USEA/Spalding Labs Young Event Horse Championships in the five-year-old division, September 9, 2008, putting in a combined score (dressage, jumping, and conformation) of 81.83, less than one point outside of the top three.
Cooper is a repeat believer in the program, having recently presented numerous of her other homebreds and young horses at YEH competitions. Most recently, she competed two four-year-olds, Rock Star and Mulligan, in the Young Event Horse competition on June 1, 2013 at Waredaca Horse Trials in Gaithersburg, MD.
