American rider Jenny Caras is holding her own on British soil. On July 24, she and Sommersby, who she owns with Jerry Hollis, won the Hambro Sport Horses CCI3*-S at Burgham Horse Trials in Northumberland, England. The pair finished on their dressage score of 28.2, their best finishing score yet. It hasn’t always been easy for this pair, but Caras feels as though Sommersby really stepped up to the plate.

The USEA is proud to say that individual was none other than USEA staff member Hannah Seagle. Seagle formerly worked within our Marketing and Programs department, assisting with our Shop USEA storefront, different program initiatives, and much more, but it became apparent that her skillset was strong enough to make her the perfect candidate for filling Gallagher's shoes.
The Green Mountain Horse Association (GHMA) has announced that the Manton Foundation, a long-time supporter, has generously offered to match all donations to the GMHA Land Acquisition up to $500,000. GMHA was founded in 1926 when group of riders wanted to promote the use of horses, provide facilities for horse shows and activities, and develop and maintain bridle trails in Vermont.
