The 2015 Event at Rebecca Farm Has Something For Everyone

Over 200 horses were presented to the ground jury today at the first veterinary inspection at The Event at Rebecca Farm. In addition to regular horse trials divisions from Novice to Intermediate, the Event is playing host to a CCI*, CCI2*, CIC3*, CCI3*, Novice Three-Day and Training Three-Day. As well as the Young Horse Divisions that have already completed.

There were several horses throughout the three-hour jog that were held, but ultimately all passed. In the three-star, Anni Grandia’s Chaos was the only one sent to the hold box although Rebecca Buehler’s Brighton was asked to jog twice after he took a disliking to the flags. The dressage begins on Thursday with the CCI*, Novice, Training and Classic Series divisions. The Novice horses also tackle Ian Stark’s cross-country course from 12:00-5:15.

On Friday, the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series CIC3*, CCI2* and Rebecca Farm Inaugural CCI3* all have their turn in the sandbox. The USEA Classic Series competitors head out on Phase A at 7:25 and the cross-country course runs all day.

Saturday is all about the cross-country for the FEI levels with the CCI3* starting the morning out at 8:00 AM while the Novice and Training competitors finish their Event in show jumping.

There will be three arenas of show jumping running on Sunday with the winner of the CCI3* being decided at 3:15 PM.

About the Adequan USEA Gold Cup and PRO Tour Series

Qualifying for the 2015 Adequan USEA Gold Cup began last fall with the Plantation Field CIC3* (PA) and the Woodside CIC3* (CA) and features 11 qualifying competitions throughout the United States at the Advanced Horse Trials and CIC3* levels. The final will take place at the Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships September 2015 in Tyler, Texas. Riders who complete a qualifier earn the chance to vie for $40,000 in prize money in the Adequan Advanced Division and the title of Adequan USEA Gold Cup Champion.
