Teams Triumph At West Coast ATC

On a beautiful weekend in sunny Woodside, California, west coast riders in the Chronicle of the Horse USEA Adult Team Challenge competed for a plethora of prizes at the Autumn Woodside Horse Trails, October 8-10.
It was a true testament to the excitement and comraderie of Eventing, as teammates from Areas VI and VII, came together to compete for top prizes and bragging rights.
Fourteen teams competed in Beginner Novice through Preliminary, resulting in four crews bringing home blue ribbons for their performances during the weekend. Member of the top-placed Beginner Novice ATC team, and the rider who took top honors in the division, Chelsey Sevigny, discussed her experience with the USEA Adult Rider Program.
“This program is great," she said smiling. "It opens opportunities that would not otherwise exist such as clinics, fun camps, and a coming together of riders.”
Julie Fletner, another participant at Woodside, helped her Area VI "WEG Wannabes" team secure a win in the training division, and raved about the experience. “I loved having the chance to meet so many new people through the program," she said. "It was a great weekend and environment.”
Julie also praised the program on its clinic offerings saying, “I loved the clinic I attended, and it gave me the opportunity to meet more people I wouldn't have met otherwise.”
