Team Gold for Great Britain at WEG; Jung Claims Individual Gold

By USEA | October 4, 2010

Sunday afternoon proved to be a dramatic finish to an exciting WEG weekend, as Great Britain was able to retain their overnight lead and finish with the team gold medal at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The Canadians had a brilliant finish to take home the team silver, while New Zealand took bronze. Unfortunately, the U.S. team finished just out of the medals in fourth place. Michael Jung of Germany led from start to finish aboard his talented partner, La Biosthetique-Sam FBW, to finish on his dressage score of 33.0. William Fox-Pitt (GBR) and Cool Mountain were the silver medal winners, while Andrew Nicholson (NZL) and Nereo were awarded bronze. Josh Walker photo. Results.
