If you are taking a Jockey Club-registered Thoroughbred to the 2013 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, presented by VTO Saddlery, you have the chance to win even more loot and the title of the top placed Thoroughbred in your respective division.
The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) is generously supporting the AEC by offering prizes for the first and second-placed TIP-registered Thoroughbreds in each division, from Beginner Novice to Advanced. Prizes include cash, ribbons, halters, coolers, and stall plaques.
All you have to do is register online, and your horse will be in the running!
First, determine if your horse is eligible for a TIP number. In order to be eligible for a TIP award, owners and riders must have a TIP number. Registering is easy, numbers are free and should be obtained for each horse/rider combination. Go here to apply for a number. Print your number card and keep it with you for proof of eligibility.
Mission of the TIP:
To encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon completion of careers in racing or breeding, The Jockey Club is proud to announce the Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.). T.I.P. offers sponsorship for Thoroughbred-only classes and divisions, high point Thoroughbred awards at open horse shows and competitions, a Thoroughbred of the Year Award and a Young Rider of the Year Award. It's officially time for the "Happiest Horse Trials in the World" this weekend! There will be 154 intercollegiate entries representing 16 schools joining forces to create 42 teams to compete in the 2025 USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship. Alongside the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) Championships for the second year in a row, collegiate members will converge on Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina this Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4.
For Lily Dal Cin, college has been as much about grit and growth as it has been about horses and art. As a member of NC State’s intercollegiate eventing team, she’s weathered setbacks with her horses while continuing to ride, support her teammates, and pursue a demanding degree. Through it all, the team has been her anchor.
Even though this is his fifth time winning the CCI5*-L in Kentucky and the 12th five-star win of his career, Michael Jung still thinks luck plays a factor in every competition.
Phillip Dutton couldn’t refrain from laughing as William Coleman described the start of his partnership with the now 16-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Off The Record (VDL Arkansas x Drumagoland Bay).
