The Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC) is the capstone event for the USEA Adult Team Challenges hosted throughout the year in all 10 Areas. The ATC provides adults competing in the Beginner Novice through Preliminary levels with the chance to compete as a team and represent their Area in a friendly and fun environment. To add even more excitement to this year’s ATC, title sponsor Adams Horse Supply is challenging all ATC riders to an additional quest that will bring them and their teammates even closer—a photo scavenger hunt across the Kentucky Horse Park (KHP)!

To participate in this year’s Adams Horse Supply ATC Scavenger Hunt, teams must complete five tasks at various locations around KHP and take a photo of each to submit to Kate Lokey at [email protected] by the end of the day on Sunday, Sept. 1. Each team will be required to send one (1) email with all five (5) of their photos in order to be considered.

The USEA also encourages teams to post their photos to social media tagging Adams Horse Supply, the USEA, and using the hashtag #AdamsATCScavengerHunt during event week. Show your fellow eventers all the fun you’re having with your teammates!

Photo submissions will be judged on execution of the tasks, creativity, and FUN! Extra consideration will be given to teams that sport matching outfits or send in themed submissions. A special panel of judges from the USEA and Adams Horse Supply will crown the winning team in the weeks following the AEC. Each member of the winning team will receive prize packs from Adams Horse Supply filled with some of your favorite equestrian essentials. Prize packages will be mailed to individuals from the USEA office after the event.

The five required photos are as follows:

  • Thank a volunteer around the grounds and give them a high-five for their help
  • Join one of USEA’s course walks to prep for cross-country with the pro’s
  • Take a photo with a rider you admire, professional or amateur
  • Show an act of good horsemanship with a team horse (i.e. grooming, grazing, etc.)
  • Pick your favorite “iconic” background or monument at KHP and take a team photo
    • *BONUS: Meet the Adams Horse Supply representative at the Adult Rider Party on Thursday

Start practicing your poses and get your smart phone or camera fully charged to join in on this fun bonding activity! Don’t forget that the scavenger hunt is a great way to get to know your fellow teammates and make connections with like-minded eventers in your Area.

For general questions about the AEC or the ATC, please contact Kate Lokey. The USEA and Adams Horse Supply look forward to seeing the Adult Team Championship competitors in Kentucky very soon!

About the Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships

The Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships, which debuted in 2014, is the capstone event for the USEA Area Adult Team Challenges, providing adults the chance to compete as a team and represent their Area of the country in a friendly and fun environment. Historically, adult riders had three regional Team Challenges in which to compete with fellow adults in a team environment, with the locations changing each year. In 2013, the USEA Adult Rider Coordinators voted to move to support Adult Team Challenges taking place in all 10 Areas across the country, with the finale being the ATC at the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds. Each Area can send up to eight teams from Beginner Novice through Preliminary level to the ATC. Adult Riders know how to have a good time, and there is no doubt that they bring an increased level of excitement and camaraderie to the AEC!
