Tara Ziegler and Buckingham Place didn't have one of their better tests.Tara did very well in keeping the excitable Thoroughbred gelding calm in the buzzing atmosphere. (JW Photo)"Flying change? That's like jumping, right, Tara? I can do that!" This guy's a phenomenal jumper... tomorrow should be a blast for them!At least Tara was a good sport about their score of 86.9!Young Rider Emilee Libby aboard Cahir performed a gorgeous testThey earned a very commendable 44.8 to move them into 6th place.Needless to say, they were very excited about their finish!Canadian rider Selena O'Hanlon was all smiles aboard ColomboTheir test was not too shabby - and they ended up with a 55.6, which left them tied for 20th (JW Photo)Colombo thought he did well!Leave it to Phillip Dutton as the last rider of the day to post a brilliant score aboard ConnaughtThe gelding was spot-on during nearly every movement.Except for a few troublesome changes! But in typical Phillip fashion, he continued on in a very workmanlike manner, getting the job done. (JW Photo)And wowing the crowds, while he's at it! They jumped to third place with a 41.3.Ladies and gentleman, Phillip Dutton has left the building.Laine Ashker and her Kiwi partner Frodo Baggins had a lovely testTheir lateral work was very straight, smooth, and correct (JW Photo)The pair earned a 54.5, leaving them in 15th place.I have a feeling that if Frodo could stick his tongue out at the judges, he'd be doing it in this photo.Stephen Bradley's From stole the show with his incredibly powerful extensions. When these guys trotted into the ring, they had such a "presence"...similar to Becky & Comet, and Heidi & Northern Spy.Their outstanding efforts earned them a 42.6 and a fourth place finish heading into tomorrow's XC phase. West Coast rider Jennifer Wooten aboard The Good Witch scored a 56.1, leaving them in 22nd place. The scores are so close at this point, however, and with two crucial phases left, it's still anyone's game! (JW Photo)Jennifer and the spunky little mare were 11th last year at the CCI4* in Pau (France)Karen O'Connor and Hugh Knows had some really brilliant points to their test.Though Hugh's still green at this level, with Karen in the irons, I have a feeling they'll tackle tomorrow's course with gusto.I was really hoping to see Bonnie Mosser and Merloch jump right into one of the top spot today. But alas, though they had a phenomenal test, they'll have to be satisfied with a 7th place standing heading into tomorrow after scoring a 50.0 (JW Photo)I call this "Pony Express"I was very pleased to see how calm and collected Merloch was... the crowds didn't bother him a bit! What a great face! Bonnie always says he's a true competitor... and it shows!Well, that's it for today... expect more awesome coverage tomorrow on the Big Day... woo hoo!

The simplest changes can mean the difference between drought or drink. Keeping horses hydrated in times of stress – namely travel, hospitalization, or showing – can be challenging. This is furthered by the fact that when horses experience water losses through marked sweating or diarrhea, they may...
