William Fox-Pitt and Cool Mountain put in a steady and elegant test to earn a 42.8 and take over the lead from Karen O’Connor and Allison Springer. Fox-Pitt made his long journey over from Great Britain worth it by becoming the dressage leaders going into tomorrow’s cross-country phase. Kim Severson aboard Tipperary Liadhnan scored a 44.8 to settle into 44.8.
