Ashley Kehoe & Magic Man, galloping towards the offset rolltops
It's a pack of Smurfs! Nope, just the officials.
Here's the winner - Aussie Boyd Martin & Bailey Wick, who had only 10 time penalties - they looked awesome!
Thea Johnson & Caramelo hop down the bank.
Kristin Schmolze & Castle Jordan had a very positive ride into the water...
...splashing through with zest! (That water had to feel pretty good - it was mighty humid on Saturday...but breezy!)
Ronald Zabala and Che Mr. Wiseguy gallop towards the back of the field (love this horse! Look at that stride!)
Hopping up onto the bank, and heading towards the final jumps on course. They finished their day in 2nd, only 0.2 points behind Martin & Bailey Wick.
Christa Gandalfo & Thalia Light jump over the wide table in the main field, head to the offset rolltops, and then...
...turn to the wide skinny (hm, oxymoron?)
Colleen Loach & Longfield Dougal
Down over the "House on the Hill" - this fence shot beautifully by the way...
Courtney Cooper and Havasu Canyon looking great over the wide table
and taking a huge leap over the offset rolltops!
The crowds started to roll in early in the day - just in time to watch the "big guys" compete.
Dana Carlin and As Time Goes By pop over the brush heading towards the water jump
Dana & the feisty redhead mare gallop for home!
Speaking of feisty redheads, we all love a nice Dobbie picture! He and Corinne Ashton looked refreshed and very capable after their recent Rolex finish.
Easily hopping over the maxed out skinny as they head for the House on the Hill.
Dornin North and the adorable Jimminy Cricket plunge boldly into the water (did I mention I love this horse?) - Dornin's not taking her eye off that bank out, it's a sharp turn!
And like a good little grasshopper, he hippity hops out with no problems. This cute little pair finished up their day in 6th.
Kadi Eykamp on her bay gelding Double Rivers 2 Cool leap up the bank, with their eyes set on the brush ahead.
Galloping for home on Double River Basil Brush (Horse #2 for Kadi)!
Basil Brush hops tidily down over the House on the Hill.
Erin Renfroe & her flashy Paint-cross DeCordova hop down the bank, and turn for the corner...
No problem here!
